For my birthday, the federal government has given me $508. Yee-haw!

It's actually Nicholas' money, but the cheque is written to me. Since we were late doing our income taxes (only by 7 months or so), we were cut off from the Child Tax Benefits. This is apparantly back-pay, minus the over-payment they made when they thought I was still single.

This makes me think...in theory Lillian is owed something like $600 for back-payments. We haven't done the paperwork to apply for her yet and the only thing that's stopping me is that her birth certificate is lost somewhere in the mess that is our computer room. I hate the mess in here with a passion, but I think that I could manage to get it cleaned up for $600.

Yay free money. Now I just need that gas bonus and the other $500 we've each been promised by Klein.

I'm pretty sure it's $400. And I doubt that we qualify for the energy rebate.

Stupid raise!

But the Leddys got one! If they got one then I want one too!!

You should have gotten one - people who make A LOT more money than us got one... maybe yours will be late due to your late tax filing habits.

Is it REALLY your birthday?

If so, congratulations!

Yes, it really was my for real birthday. I turned 26. I've decided that since I've married someone who is almost 4 years older than me I'll never have to worry about feeling old.

My birthday was pretty awesome. There was the typical "I want to run away and cry" stress at suppertime, but I had a really good evening. Liam and I actually had time at the end of the night to sit and have a real conversation like we used to do before the arrival of the Lily. It made the crappy week much much less crappy.

Happy Belated Birthday!
Hope it was filled with all the good things :)

Man, you're just swimming in free money! I gotta get hitched...apparently it's the path to financial fulfillment.

Happy late birthday, by the way. Sorry I missed actually being there and such. Damn you, comfy couch!

Actually, being single and getting knocked up then going to school is the path to free monies. I got lots of bursaries and grants when I went to MacEwan.

Damn Liam and his bumping me up into a higher income bracket!

And it's ok that you ditched us. By the sounds of things you may have been set up on a blind date if you'd shown up.

Damn my lack of uterus! there will be no unwed mother riches for me.

I'm amused by the fact that if someone was attempting to set me up, I would have no choice. Actually...no...I'm actually a little frightened, now that I think about it.

Trying so hard not to make some kind of extremely tasteless joke...

Good lord, why? Those are the dark impulses nobody should be holding in!

Yeah, but it was really tasteless.

I fail to follow. You've veered off on to the Tasteful Expressway, and I can't afford the toll.
